Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

sd.jpg An official announcement for the School Days anime has come on the Overflow website. I thought the game was seriously boring aside from the wonderful endings with the great Kotonoha, but that’s just me. THIS ANIME BETTER RAIN BLOOD.

Dragon Ball Online

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

dbzzz.jpg 4Gamer reports that Bandai Namco Games has announced Dragon Ball Online. It will start beta test in Korea in summer, and is planned for official service in Japan in 2008. Just a while back this game was almost cancelled even though it was almost complete, because of expensive licensing issues with Bandai Namco Games. Apparently they’ve solved the licensing issues and Toriyama will be supervising the production of the game.

Will closes Juliette and Spirit Speak

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

otukare.jpg Will announced the closure of two of its eroge brands, Juliette and Spirit Speak, most likely because their games have not been able to sell very well. But Will still owns 15 other brands(including Pulltop) after closing the above mentioned two, so it doesn’t feel like there has been a significant decrease.

Nitro+: Urobuchi Gen x Niθ

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

crudeli.jpgThe latest issue of Push!! and Pasocon Paradise has revealed Tre donne crudeli, Nitro+’s latest game. The game will be a sci-fi story about 3 girls in space going after treasure. However, the most surprising part of the game is that Urobuchi Gen is writing the scenario. Urobuchi Gen has been regarded by many fans as Nitro+’s best writer, but he had not written for any games since Saya no Uta in 2003. Niθ on the other hand is the artist for Nitro+’s also popular Demonbane series.

Carriere closed down too

Friday, March 16th, 2007

carriere.jpgI forgot to mention in the post about Tarte that the same blog reported that Carriere had filed for bankruptcy too. But I never actually played any games from Carriere and I don’t know their games. So I kinda forgot to mention them, yes. Like Deal, it’s not announced officially on their website yet either.

Tarte to close its doors too

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

katahane.jpg This has been rumoured for a while, and according to this blog, eroge company Deal had closed down at the end of of February. Deal is the parent company for Plastic, Raccoon, and most notably, Tarte.

Tarte in particular had not actually been doing too badly, and their latest game, Katahane(picture on top) was received quite well. And according to an annonymous source on 2ch, the company is actually closing down with their accounts in the black and not in the red. The actual reasons for closing business is still not clear yet.
