Lucky Star director change
Kyoto animation has announced that the current Lucky Star director, Yamamoto Yutaka, will be stepping down as Lucky Star director and changing hands with Takemoto Yasuhiro. The reason for the change was because Yamamoto was not good enough as a director apparently.
Takemoto Yasuhiro directed Fumoffu, Second Raid, and Komugi 1,2. He’s pretty good. But seriously, the original manga wasn’t that interesting in the first place. Changing directors might not change much.
Also I guess they already did the change a long time ago, or they wouldn’t be able to change directors within one episode at this point in time… unless it’s all a joke to parody Gainax.

Besides being a parody of the Gainax debacle, there are reasons to believe that the site was hacked by a disgruntled fan by how the series is going so far. But it’s more likely that it’s a jab at Gainax since the putting a line like “He’s not good enough” sounds rather unprofessional. And considering the official website of the Haruhi anime series has a number of Easter eggs, I wouldn’t be surprise for such a self-referential anime series like Lucky Star to include the jab.
BTW, what do you think of the series so far?

The series hasn’t been really good or really bad on the whole, but I started watching it on niconico video recently and it became a lot more interesting when people comment about it on the fly.
