But it's more likely that it's a jab at Gainax since the putting a line like "He's not good enough" sounds rather unprofessional. And considering the official website of the Haruhi anime series has a number of Easter eggs, I wouldn't be surprise for such a self-referential anime series like Lucky Star to include the jab.
