Leaf has opened the official page for their upcoming 3D RPG eroge, Kimi ga yobu, megido no oka de. The release date still remains as “in 2007″. More news for both Megido no oka and To Heart Another Days will be made available starting from July apparently.

Kimi ga yobu, megido no oka de is Leaf’s biggest project to date spending more than 2 years in development and features 5 of the most popular artists in the industry today.

Dears will be releasing a CD on the 15th of June featuring popular seiyuu Wakamoto Norio reading the Hyakunin Isshu. The Hyakunin Isshu is a collection of 100 Japanese poems, and Wakamoto is an awesome seiyuu. Now, if they’d make a CD collecting 100 of Wakamoto’s best quotes…

The theory that Totoro is actually the god of death and that Mei was actually already dead has been spreading in Japan for a while. And apparently the makers of the movie, Studio Ghibli has been receiving many calls regarding the truth to this theory.

So to answer this question once and for all, Studio Ghibli has made a statement on their official blog stating that none of it is true. One of the most popular supporting evidences that Mei was already dead was that Mei and Satsuki did not have any shadows at the end of the movie, and Ghibli replies on the blog that they left the shadows out because they decided that they did not need it in the picture at the time.

Of course, it doesn’t really stop the theorists from wondering if they were unofficially making the movie with Totoro as the god of death in mind, and are only stating their official stance as something that is completely different so as not to traumatize the children.

The Doki Doki Majo Shinpan site has opened a korean version now. But still, what for! They aren’t releasing chinese or korean versions of the game!

Following the arrest of Gazo channel administrators yesterday, popular adult image board Gamushara and large scale uploaders viploader and Kasamatsusan have announced their closure today. Man, it’s all collapsing already even before the results of the Gazo channel arrests are known.

Everybody’s looking at Futaba channel being the next to go down, but if this goes on even video sites like niconico video might be in danger of closing.

Famitsu.com has put up some shots from the Higurashi no naku koro ni kai anime that will be starting in July. It looks pretty good… but I’m trying not to get my hopes too high.

The team of 7 administrators for the large image board Gazou channel have been arrested today on the 23rd on suspicion of public display of indecent pictures. Gazo channel is one of the largest image boards in Japan and had a total of 73.6 million hits and 360,000 pictures uploaded in 2006.

Where they refer to indecent pictures, they are mainly referring to images that have not been censored. The administrators maintain that the people who are breaking the law are the people that posted the pictures, and not the actual administrators.

If Gazo channel goes down… it would possibly mean the end of Japanese image boards since nobody will want to take the risk of being arrested when a malicious poster posts an uncensored picture.

Details have been released about the Doujin Work anime on AT-X’s website, and apparently, half of each episode will be live action videos of the seiyuu trying to make a real doujinshi. This is… unique, I wonder if it’ll work out right. I love the manga so I hope the anime turns out fine.
