Uproar over eroge which had less “playable” characters than advertised

peasoft.jpgOn the 1st of July, eroge company PeasSoft released Tsukushite ageru no ni!! a game for which one of the tag lines was that all 8 heroines are childhood friends of the protagonist of the story. However, when players bought the game, they found themselves feeling completely cheated, as out of the 8 heroines featured in the picture, only 4 of them had a playable story route, the rest were sub-heroines. And to add to the frustration, one of the sub-characters is a lesbian who takes the main heroine away from the protagonist.

On top of all that, the game itself is apparently also incredibly buggy and one of the game’s special effects makes the screen flash just as badly as a certain pokemon episode.

After an angry uproar by players that bought the game, PeasSoft announced that they will send a free fandisk to all who fill in a survey that was included in the game package and send it to the company. The fandisk will have epilogue episodes for some of the current heroines and also add playable routes for some of the supporting characters.

A patch was released
today which fixes some of the more serious bugs.
