Tokyo Big Sight to transform into a robot

bigsightron.jpgSponichi Annex reports that American magician Franz Harary will be performing an illusion where the Tokyo Big Sight will transform into a robot during the Japanese premiere of the Transformers movie on the 24th of July. The illusion costs them approximately 200 million yen to produce.

Tokyo Big Sight is the largest convention centre in Japan and also the convention venue where Comic Market has been held at since 1996 after moving from Harumi.

I bet it’ll be a Michael Bay-style transforming to rub in the idea.

The new designs for the movie sucks. I was so excited when they announced it, too. And the cartoon network-style “Transformers: The Animation” is going to finally kill it off. I’m sad now :/

But this is not the place to rant! This illusion-thing sounds awesome. I can’t understand how it’s going to be done… Like a hologram or what? o_O
