Korean drama steals uniform designs from eroge

kimchi.jpgThe upcoming Korean drama “I am Sam” is slated to air in Korea on the 6th of August, but it has already created a big commotion as pictures that have been released have revealed that the school uniforms worn in the drama are exactly the same as the uniforms from the eroge “Shuffle!”.

Comparison pictures can be found at the korean news site, DC news.

The drama is rumoured to be based on the manga “Kyoukasho ni nai!”, which is about a teacher who was forced by the yakuza to make their head’s daughter successfully graduate and is made to live together with the girl. It is not known if the drama will feature empty pots.

OMGWTF!!! I wonder if Navel will sue the creators of the Korean drama just like what Key/VisualArts’ did when the Chinese released a CD that sounded like the BGM from Air or Kanon… can’t remember which one though..

  2. fake Says:

    can you copy protect clothes?

the k-drama doesn’t have a ribbon on her sleeve though.

  3. Ansaga Says:

It would be funny if they try to sue for that but not for the Haruhi pic :P

  4. soloista Says:

    Sue! Sue! Sue!

  5. Charles Says:

Huh… I remember the Key incident… that one happened in SIngapore, actually. Now… hy didn’t SIngapore advertiseKey heavily after that….

On another note; this is it. Navel can get big in Korea if they sue succesfully. Hell, maybe we can get some Korean eroge. KOREROGE !

  6. Espr Says:

It’s just the uniforms, and as Fake said it’s not the complete ensemble. There’s only so many different variations of the sailor fuku before you start stepping on other ppl’s designs.

  7. rq Says:

Yeah. You don’t see Leaf suing Kagami Yoshimizu for the winter uniforms in Lucky Star. At least the drama picked a good design to copy.

  8. Charles Says:

Rq > That’s a good thought actually. That means the Koreans do have good taste.

  9. Metatron Says:

why is it i’m not surprised…

    XDDD

  10. fet Says:

Yeah, the sleeves are very different, and the trim on the skirt is different.
