More info on the Higurashi movie
Famitsu.com has come with more information regarding the actors that will be featured in the film. Aside from the three that were already mentioned, Houjo Satoko will be played by Ono Erena(13) and Furude Rika will be played by Aika(15).
The Satoko girl seems to look more like Rika and the Rika girl looks like Satoko… And for the actors that were previously mentioned, Maeda Gouki is Keiichi, Asuka Rin is Mion, and Matsuyama Airi is Rena.
Come to think of it, the anime is using 52 episodes in total and it already had a very problematic first season which had 26 episodes. I wonder how a 90+ minute movie will actually be able to cope with all that content…

It will probably only cover one of the arcs. Onikakushi-hen seems like the most obvious choice.

I think they will make an original story.
By the way, anime has only 30% of the original content.
it means that we have already been enjoying “partial Higurashi” which is far away from the original.

Ya, Ona Erena seems to suit Rika MUUUCH better, and vice versa. Anything can happen from here till release. They may swap them with each other, or trade off. But somehow i think they’re gonna attempt to make it work.. o-O ( Maeda Gouki is funny looking… o: )
