An Xbox 360 for every living room in the world

japansosmall.jpgMicrosoft must be scratching their heads wondering why their wonderful ad campaign isn’t working in Japan. This was a real ad that was on Dengeki Daioh apparently…?

    From the looks of it the ad campaign is messed up. Even I have trouble figuring it out. Actually, ads shouldn’t really take pause to figure out, so yeah this one’s a total flop.

    Lol! Way to flatter your own country Microsoft! Yeah, that’s exactly what the typical american home looks like, I’m sure. XD

    Too bad you can’t properly see the other ones, Norway and Italy… They’re probably hilarious :D

    Actually, I think it’s close if you ignore the fancy layout and gardens. I mean, 2 car garage, 2 bed, 2 (or 1.5) bath, living room, kitchen, office, closet, den/aux room, and lawn — THE typical middle class american suburbia home.

    But as for their idea of the prototypical “Japanese” home.. er, maybe it’s an apartment?

    I’m particularly fond of how the X takes up a rather sizeable portion of the room it’s in. This really should have been an ad campaign for the original Xbox, which would have made the images to scale.

    Somehow, I think “conform to the rest of the world” is a bad ad campaign for ANY country… but of all countries on the planet, Japan strikes me as the worst place to try it.

    @LegoTechnic: Genius.

    You could use the Xbox to provide heat and a soothing soft red glow lol
