School Days on the PS2

kotonoha.jpgMoon Phase reports that the infamous eroge School Days is being ported to the PS2 by Interchannel as School Days LxH (love and hate.) for a December 13th release. There will be added scenes and endings, and there will be newly animated scenes to go with the parts of the scenario that were modified.

I wonder if they’ll stay true to the original and release a really buggy product. But more importantly, would Sony allow those endings on the PS2 without any modification? Then again the PS2 has stuff like Resident Evil and God of War, hmmmmm.

You know that every PS 2 ero-VN port has always been de-ero-ised (do I need to give a list ?), and besides, since an anime version of School Days is being done, I won’t be surprised if this version will be 100% vanilla.

Oh, and as for ‘those’ endings…. maybe not.. WHo knows ?

In the first place, I don’t think the bad endings aren’t exactly ‘AO’ material, or merit a category ‘Z’ rating in Japan. Yes they’re violent, but they’re no different from any other action game that may depict a hero or villain being pierced. In fact, the violence is a little cartoony since we don’t see any innards or organs strewn over the place. At worst, they might do a ‘fade to black’ just before the final killing blow.

Wasn’t it just Summer Days that suffered the buggy fate?

It’s probably more to do with the paths and how they introduce H-scenes in the middle that needs to be corrected rather than the violent endings.

School Days was horrible with its bugs and patch releases too, though all of it has already been overshadowed by Summer Days and the legendary 2.3gb patch that was released even before the game was released.

H-scenes will definitely be fixed, but I’ve been wondering about the bloody endings because many people seem to have different views when it comes to violence in a seemingly peaceful game.

Sekai, please be gentle this time around…

If they screw with the bad ends, I will be angry.
