Eva’s Spear of Longinus hits 10 Billion yen on Yahoo Auctions

longinus.jpgThe replica of the Spear of Longinus was made as a part of Gainax’s “Eva at work” project in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Evangelion. They put it up for auction on Yahoo auctions and it got hijacked with fake bids and now it’s at the maximum value that yahoo auctions can support.

It was going steadily at 1 million yen before it made a big jump to 15 million yen, then it all snowballed from there.

    Man I hate it when they do that. That happened also when the Colbert Report was auctioning off a painting and it hit the max so they had to redo the auction with only secure bidders.
