Wii sales on a steady decline in Japan
Media Create released the Japanese console sales for the week and the Wii’s sales are at a record low (lowest since launch). Apparently the Wii’s sales in Japan have been on a steady decline since July. This timeline of sales was taken from a post in 2ch.
Wii weekly sales in Japan since 15th July
~07/15 109,854
~07/22 86,786
~07/29 77,169
~08/05 61,498
~08/12 65,120
~08/19 73,938
~08/26 46,283
~09/02 39,371
~09/14 29,088
Somebody made a graph to illustrate the sales too. I don’t know why I’m posting about console hardware stuff.

Hahaha, the graph is hilarious. They should add the DS to it to make it even funnier.
…Obviously you’re posting about consoles because there’s nothing else to post about! Eh?

How does this decrease in sales compare to Nintendo’s supply of the system? Have the number of systems available for sale been on a constant decrease as well?
Lack of new software is probably an issue.

Wiis don’t break as often as XBOX360s lol

There were reports of stores in Akiba starting to have excess leftover stock of Wiis each week since late July, which does actually coincide with the drop in sales…
Mario Party 8 was released in Japan recently too, but it didn’t help the dropping sales.

I can imagine that SONY would be happy with this.
Well nevermind…. Nintendo would pull of something. Although the PS3 lost the start-up battle, there’s still another battle coming; eventual releases.

You know what I think. The Wii and the DS need “GAMES”! Yes games, most new releases are stupid things from Disney and other dumb companies. What we need now are “good games”! This will help sales a lot. That’s my opinion and I’ll be leaving now.

Ha, your basing this off a 2ch post?
