How to axe an anime
News site J-Cast goes onto 2ch and sees people joking about how the murder’s like higurashi, and writes an article saying that people on the internet are pointing to higurashi as being related to the murder. Sanspo, trying not to lose out, writes a news article saying the same thing.
TV show “Move!” picks up the news and runs it on TV.

At least after they pointed the finger at anime, games, and comics, that one lady spoke up about how that stuff probably had much less to do with it than the girl’s life and relationship with her father.

Ugh. I hope to god this won’t result in Higurashi being cancelled. Hopefully it’ll blow over soon so no one will make too big of a deal about it.

I can’t say all this is great for the industry (yeah, a pretty bad omen), but if Kai does get canceled I won’t be completely bummed as there’s nothing to stop the full series’ DVD release.

I must point out that he can’t have been trying to hard. I do line cutting ( Bush work ) and I use an ax. With 7 good swings I can cut down a tree that is the width of a mans neck.
And this does have pretty direct links with arc 3 of the anime
