Can’t say I was much of a fan of any shows he worked on, but this is still sad news. RIP

May he rest in peace. When I watch Ouran again, I’ll now have a different viewing experience with this in mind.

    overwork + paint fumes?

  4. Otakuan Says:

I loved a couple of the shows he worked on. R.I.P

DTB is the cancer that is killing Bones.

  6. Kitty Says:

He was pretty young…considering how old people usually are when they die. I’ll remember him when i watch Wolf’s Rain. R.I.P

    Oh man….he did Escaflowne?!

…why do they all die so young?

I thought Japanese are supposed to have the longest life expectancy?

They die so young because it is very, very, very stressful working in the industry (overworked and underpaid etc.) and you sit around without moving or getting good nutrition most of the time. The other time one animation director from J.C. Staff died at 30something if I am not wrong due to sheer overworking.

I find it that this September hasn’t been very kind at all. I mean, Colin Mcrae who’s well known for his driving in the WRC (world rally championship) died not too long either. Very sad times.
