Overflow announces special preview event for the final episode of School Days

whatthehell.jpgIn commemoration of the release of the first DVD of the School Days anime, Overflow, the makers of the game, has announced that they are holding a special preview event for the final episode of the anime within the week. There is limited seating and there are requirements to be able to attend the event.

The wonderful requirement is you need to show them that you own either a copy of the School Days game or Summer Days. However, your copy of the game has to be UNOPENED. If you ever opened your game even once, you’re not allowed to the screening. (They’ll open the packaging for you as you enter, which defeats the purpose of not opening the packaging after all this time)

I don’t think more needs to be said about how stupid this is.

AT-X still hasn’t said anything regarding the final episode of School Days, but this announcement seems to be saying that AT-X won’t be airing it and they want to make some quick cash.

    This is pure profiteering. I’m torn on if I should be angered or appreciative of such open, raw opportunism.

    Wow, that’s pretty amazing.
    But then again, it’s their chance to make some d) PROFIT.

  7. Crimsonjassic Says:

    Fat Cat Lim, are you the same Fat Cat Lim from the Orochinagi forums?? If it is, small world! If not, then nevermind… ^^;

    (Oh, yeah. And this sucks :( )

    Seen Summer Days and the game. The second ending where he gets stabbed makes not sence at this time and the original ending with her neck getting scliced also destroys the series! What they should do is refer back to the three girls entering his apartment and him not showing-up for school for a long time .. leave everybody hanging-on ^_^ then Stop the series ( as if, “you figure it out” )

    That is truly professional.

    @Crimsonjassic

    Yeap, the one and only. :3 I’ve been lurking around anime and game forums/blogs lately.

    See? This is why eroge should never be turned into anime!

    School / Summer days had its awesome sex scenes. But, last I heard; they made the male lead a jerk, the girls are air-headed, and some of the ending feature someone trying to kill someone else.

    So yeah. The “OMG Murder In Peace-Loving Japan” => “Knee-jerk Reaction TV Stations Cancel All The Violent Shows.” These guys are saving their own butts.

    I always thought that those circus clowns at the anime industry needed to take a bit more responsibility. But hey. That’s me. Mitsuo Fukuda. Chiaki Morosawa.

    I don’t mind these guys making profit, though. I just wish it was on something better than School Days. Meh…

    日本語読めない人が、あなたの無責任な解釈でたくさん誤解してるようなので、ここのところだけ原文にあたって直してくれませんか?

    新品っていうのは「中古対策」っていうくらいの意味だと思うけど違うのかな(これはごめんよく知らない)。

    All i know is that i am pretty sure that the people on the tv station knew what type of anime they were showing, they knew it had violent scenes, hentai scenes, but they still aired it. (and in case they didn’t know what type of idiots don’t investigate what they are airing on their stations) anyways the whole point is that if they are scared of seen a girl killing her dad for her own reasons, “because she had her reasons”. they might as well end their own lives. because violence is the only thing we see now days.” and so since everyone is responsible for their own actions, everyone should accept the actions that follow that certain responsibility.”

    >>sounds like someone only watched the ero scenes

    I’m a watcher of a lot of ero. But there’s some ero (like everything else) that just don’t cut it. Stuff like Himajin’s “True Blue.” And stuff like “School Days.”

    erny’s right, though. We all (should) know that this stuff plays between midnight and 6:00 am. Where are the gate guards? Isn’t there suppose to be somebody to make sure that crap is watchable? Where’s Quality Control @?!

  18. erny Says:

    the ending is the best one i have ever seen A++
