Kodomo no Jikan was supposed to air on TV Saitama on the 10th of October but their programme listings have changed to show a different TV show for Kodomo no Jikan’s timeslot on the 10th, and nothing is even listed at the timeslot for the programme listings for the 17th.

So most likely TV Saitama has decided that Kodomo no Jikan was too much for them. The Higurashi no naku koro ni kai anime website has also updated with a message regarding the cancellation of Higurashi from TV Saitama and says that they have been trying to convince all the TV stations that Higurashi is an anime that is against the ideas of violence and murder, but were unable to stop TV Saitama from taking the series off the air.

They are now trying to come up with a solution for the fans who are no longer able to continue watching the series till the end.
