If it was really done by the Taliban; then we’d get news about anime companies being blown up. (Remember, Japan is trying to portray Middle Easterners in a good like; Setsuna from Gundam 00.)

The guy who played Kramer in Sienfeld said the “n-word” 5 times on a comedy stage. His career is over. Don Imus called a hard-working female basketball team “nappy-headed hoes.” And he’s BEEN fired.

So yes, people are calling to bring good taste and restraint back. Plus, even the most evil of salespeople know that you can’t just cater to a niche market and survive too long.

What have I been saying? “Keep your ero where it belongs; in ero.” If you’re going to animate something that’s based on an eroge, have it become ero-anime.

What happened?

Gore, pedophilia, the reality-challenged hygiene-challenged otaku blobs “living” at 24-hour manga-filled maid cafes, and then murders.

Life imitating art and vice versa. The “moe monster” had gotten stuck in the loop and had now ate its own vital organs. Yeah.

A lot of toned down anime will be toned down. +100 points for Saitama!

Oh man…

Then again, it’s a good and bad decision. Some would want for more tasteful anime this days, and there’ only so much gore, guro, carnage and lust we can take. Of course, the side of me that believes in intellectual freedom and liberalism is against this.

Meh… I just hope there’d be an avenue for Kodomo.
