Another TV station removes Kodomo no Jikan
Mie TV has updated their site with a note saying that they have decided to take Kodomo no Jikan off their broadcast schedule. On the other hand, the official site for Kodomo no Jikan has announced that they will be streaming the anime online.
Also, TV Saitama was supposed to give the Kodomo no Jikan staff an answer regarding the situation today, but hasn’t contacted them yet.
Edit: Basically only two TV stations, Chiba and KBS will be airing the anime now. It might actually be possible for the situation to end up where all TV stations decide to cancel the anime now…

I don’t understand why though. I hate to use the old American fall back of “Litigation Sign: Sue their pants off!” but isn’t there some kind of legal defense they can use to keep their show on the air?

The questions that should be asked:
1) What anime titles still remain on Saitama (et al)?
2) You think it’s about time for these circus clowns to sell their show on DVD instead? :)

Anime market explode!!!
With Geneon getting out of the US, and this in Japan I think we’ll see a big draw back into safer series being released next year.
But is anyone really shocked by this? I’m more shocked this got approved for TV in the first place…
