Kodomo no Jikan
TV Saitama cited this to the press as the reason for taking Kodomo no Jikan off. The official blog says they weren’t informed by Mie TV about removing the anime, and they couldn’t get the anime on AT-X because they didn’t want age restrictions.
Maaaaaan, the censorship in the first episode was horrible!

Worst censoring till this date I gotta agree, a few times the entire screen was blocked of, and most important one plot scene was censored fully as well, kind of destroy heavily the plot of the show.

I just saw the first episode uncensored, not bad, that means at least one tv station is airing it I guess.

While both have their reasons for being ‘censored’…. this is just bad. I seriously wonder if I’ll ever get to watch it.

He’s talking about the OVA. There was only one TV station that aired the anime yesterday and it had all the censorship.

I am quite sure the DVDs that will get released later will NOT be censored. After all, Watashiya-sensei didn’t want any censoring at all. The OVA wasnt censored, the mangas were no, and the TV DVDs will not be either.
The ironic part is that when the story starts, it’s Rin who gets her principle turned in for trying to “molest” her. The rest of the time is alot of inuendo, but no actual sex. Some people (A very vocal MINORITY) have made a big deal over this series when there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to. It is a funny, heart warming series about growing up. I was just as precocious when I was Rin’s age, and I am sure I teased more than my fair share of adults when I was a child. I was never abused or “taken up” on my offers.
The vocal minority I spoke about are probably primarily Soccer Moms and people who are more worried about how they feel about a elementary school girl trying to seduce her teacher than they are about teh actual content of the stories.

I must agree! The manga was ultra funny, and just as I sat in my chair and began watching the anime i went WTF? I cant believe how much censorship this anime has, and for really no reason! Its a shame!
