Woman smashes ATMs to meet anime character

daremoimasenyo.jpgSearchina reports that a woman in her 20s was arrested in China for smashing two ATMs with a brick. The reason? An anime character appears on the screen when you use the ATM, and she thought it was inside the machine, so she smashed it open because she wanted to see the character.

The reason for having smashed two ATMs was because she saw that there was nothing inside when she smashed the first one, so she tried a second one.

There won’t be anybody inside if you cut somebody’s stomach open too

So says Dr. Kotonoha. We should trust her diagnosis.

I have a funny feeling the woman was from the countryside, and had never seen an ATM in her entire life, or she was so stressed out by life, and she was such a real otakun, that circumstances drove her to do that.

I heard that in Japan there are people sitting inside machines like that to help you in case of trouble, so it’s not that unusual.

Hmm, late post, but has anyone considered that she may have been trying to steal from the ATM and only used that as a excuse to try to get a lighter sentence? I mean… c’mon, how deprived from technology can you be?
