Manga: iin-cho.

iin-cho. is a manga by Akikaze Shirakumo that is currently running in Comic Gum magazine. And as the title suggests, the manga is all about female iincho(class representative) characters.

Ladies and gentlemen! Do you like class representatives!
If your idea of the perfect iincho stereotype is that she:
1) needs to be wearing glasses
2) has sharp eyes
3) is flat chested
4) has a large forehead (most important!)
Then this manga is for you, because all 6 of the heroines representing the six first year classes in their school fits the iincho stereotype.

All of them fall under the control of the student council president who’s a real man that wants to train them into the perfect iincho that can step on students and scold them.

All class representatives have to be strong, so there’s a battle scene where the iincho who self taught herself capoeira because of the movie Only the Strong fought against the iincho who took up taekwondo because of Pierre Guenette. Then the iincho who fights like Steven Seagal appears to beat them all.

The author knows what he’s doing!
I don’t think I managed to describe the qualities of this particular manga very well, but it managed to convince me that I want to be stepped on by a class representative, so I like it.
The author is also a long time Comic Market doujinshi author under the circle name Pazzo SP, which was moderately popular among certain groups of people… Personally I have all his books.

Iinchos! Iinchos!!!
Good to see an artist giving the female iincho archetype proper attention; I hope he can give each girl a distinctive personality, yet be able to keep them in the iincho zone.
BTW, is there a manga with an all silent-girl cast?

Wait! You imply that there are some class representatives that aren’t female?
I call bullshit.

So I guess that would make most of the female leads in this manga, tsundere.
5) Must be tsundere.

I dunno.
I prefer my iin-chos to have a British accent, be without glasses, have lots of flowers. So, Negima’s Ayaka is for me.
But I don’t really care about the chest, and I like the forehead.
