yoshitoshi ABe T-shirt
Kinda want it but don’t want it at the same time!?
Hatsune Miku has sold 20,000 copies
I wonder how much their profits are now, considering how 3,000 to 4,000 sold is considered a hit in the desktop music software market.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi SRW style
Apparently you can make a Super Robot Wars style game in the game.
World’s biggest melon pan?
11 times bigger than the normal melon pan measuring at around 30cm in diameter and 1 kg in weight, selling at 1500 yen each. Apparently there were people that even bought it to use as a birthday cake.

re: miku
you must mean revenue, because they prolly haven’t recouped licensing and production costs.
they prolly won’t post profits until their 3rd version.
they prolly won’t post profits at all, thx to the internet

I think you’re confusing the DTM market with some other software/video game market.

Bandai: Dang it, dudes, just get the game licensed overseas already man. And bring it down to SIngapore too !! I’m starting to get hungry for it, and this is one game I’d definitely pay money for.
aBe: FInally he’s doing something…. A SHIRT !
Two years of no news and all we get is a shirt ?!!

@佐倉
Why would 20,000 sold not produce a profit when they expected to turn a profit with 2,000 copies sold. Vocaloid isn’t some kind of multi-million dollar license where you need to sell impossible numbers to survive.

>>World’s biggest melon pan?
I guess this is for people who want to go as Shana-tan for Halloween.
Can someone explain the ABe shirt?

zepy
well im pretty sure they didnt just cough up a couple 万 and get a license
also, the cost of pressing those additional copies on such short notice after the initial shipment prolly wasnt cheap either.
for some reason, i just dont see a profit. i see revenue, but no profit.
people think that just because some shit that sells quickly is automatically a profit, without looking at the costs associated with bringing the shit to market.

@hiero_yo
The picture is a self portrait by ABe that was shown at a German convention called AnimagiC in 2004 when he was introducing himself. The shirt is available in limited quantities and only 30 shirts will be sold.
