300,000 visit Washinomiya shrine for New Year
Yomiuri reports that there were a total of 300,000 visitors to Washinomiya shrine over the 3 days during the New Year. This is more than double of the 130,000 visitors that visited the shrine in 2007. Lucky Star is attracting too many people…!

Just like me; going to some anime convention in some other city like the weaboo (sp?) I was.
I was finally wondering, “…………okay what the hell am I doing here?”

I actually visited on the 3rd and they were still pretty packed. I dunno if they had this before, but see all the people gathered on the right of this picture? (near the blue sign)

I’m proud to say I was among the people who went there last year. Here’s my ema: http://img146.imageshack.us/my.php?image=day2washinomiya5rg0.jpg

That makes me sad…
I’m an otaku, quite meganekko loving too, but this…?
Come on, quit the shit, while Lucky Star is great comedy, it’s not like the charas are gods.
Ok, people, among which me, like to fantasize about them charas, like me fantasizing about Miyuki, but most of us treat them as they are, just fictional characters from somebody else’s fantasy.
These things are why otaku can’t have nice things in Japan or abroad.
I’m ashamed to see my fellow otaku act like this, being too obsessed for the good of otaku-hood.
