I hadn’t read the novel before I saw the movie and I thought it was excellent, though standing in line for an hour at 8am outside of the theatre was not very excellent at all. I went back and skimmed the translation that’s floating around the tubes, and I have to say I liked the movie more, but I picked up a hard copy of the book and I’ll hopefully get around to reading it one day.

Yeah it’s a series of 7 movies, one for each chapter. The third movie’s starting next month.

So it WAS a movie? I was having trouble figuring out what format it would be delivered in when I first heard about it a couple months back.
