2000 queue at midnight for To Heart 2 AD
To Heart 2 Another Days was released last night in Akiba at midnight and there were approximately 2000 people around queuing for the game apparently, according to Akibablog. This is the highest turnout in Akiba yet for midnight eroge releases.
Amazing amount of people considering that it’s midnight on Thursday!
The trains wouldn’t be running by the time they get their game too… I wonder if the guys without cars would spend the night away in a net cafe or something.

I completely forgot that Akibablog English version had started! I should have linked there instead. I didn’t notice how bad their English was though, I’d thought Himeya had proper translation staff.

Actually the eroge market is a little too small to have stuff like that. The resale prices seldomly go above retail price except in a few rare cases, even if it’s being sold on the day of release.
Though the resale price of ToHeart2 AD is probably dropping now as people have been bashing the scenario writing in the game.

Maybe not the game itself but I’m sure they’ll be able to make a good profit from auctioning off the Telecards. Amazing how absurd prices on those things can get.
The Toranoana, Gamers and Messe Sanoh cards are already starting at 2,000 yen.
