Key artist Hinoue Itaru has revealed in her mixi blog that the next game from Key will be called Rewrite and will feature scenario writers Tanaka Romeo (Cross Channel), Ryuukishi07 (Higurashi) and Tonogawa Yuuto (Komari and Kurugaya).

The Key website has now been updated with the official page for Rewrite while I was writing this. It doesn’t seem like a fake… but the scenario writing team is… incredible.

The 07th Expansion website has also updated with a picture of Misuzu and a link to Key.

I’ll update this post as more stuff appear… i think.

Akibablog reports that Syangrila’s new eroge Akatsuki no goei that was released on the 27th-28th of March is nowhere to be found in Akihabara, not even in the used game shops which usually get a bunch of stock on launch from maniacs that buy 4 copies from different stores for the special goods.

The LE version is already being sold on Amazon for 12,000 yen now, though a quick look at Yahoo auctions shows that it’s not going for much yet.

There have been a lot of positive reactions to the story writing in the game so I’ll probably try to get my hands on it…

Negima author Ken Akamatsu has announced on his blog that they’ll be releasing a Negima OVA with the limited edition versions of vol. 23 to 25 of the tankoubon. The anime will be by Shaft again and it’ll be based on the manga version of Negima this time.

Akamatsu has been dropping hints on his blog about this for like… six months now. They’re apparently leaving it to him to pick the portions of the story to animate and he has picked chapters 176 to 183 for the 3 episodes.

I was hoping they’d do the final parts of the mahora festival instead…

Toranoana’s free information booklet Toratsuu has announced that Trouble Witches 2 is currently in production, together with a with a serialized novel of Trouble Witches which will appear in the Toratsuu every month. The characters look really… plain this time.

Moon phase reports that the May issue of Dengeki G’s has announced that the after story portion of Clannad will be made into an anime under the same staff and cast that made the Clannad anime. I guess Key fans don’t need to hate Kyoto Animation all that much now!

Also in the same magazine was info on Little Busters Ecstasy revealing the new original character Tokido Saya.

An anime version of the slice of life manga Hyakko was announced at the Tokyo International Anime Fair held today. Hyakko currently runs on the web magazine FlexComix Blood and is available for free reading on their site.

I liked the manga but I never expected Hyakko to get animated since it was such a… minor manga.

On the other hand the Yozakura Quartet anime was announced some days ago too but that wasn’t much of a surprise.

4gamer reports that mmorpgs Hiten Online and Holy Beast online have started a collaboration event with Clannad where you can purchase costumes made in the design of the school uniforms in Clannad and have Kyou’s boar as a pet.

The World Hobby Festival website has updated with the announcement today that they will no longer be holding the event after World Hobby Festival Ariake 18 which will be held on the 5th of May. No reason for the sudden decision has been announced.

They’ll be holding Nagoya 08, Kobe 28, and Ariake 18 before completely putting World Hobby Festival to an end. Looks like Wonder Festival is going to get a lot more crowded as it becomes the only major event left for figure stuff…

New Akiba reports that Hatsune Miku was introduced briefly on a Spanish TV show, but for some reason the image of Hatsune Miku that was shown features her completely naked. I don’t understand Spanish so I don’t know what she’s saying, but I have a feeling there’s some misunderstanding in all this…

Update: Ten no koe has a translation of what the video was about “You’re right. The naked picture is totally unrelated to the content she’s talking about. All she was commenting on is on how easy it was to use Vocaloid, since you only have to give her a sheet and she’ll sing. She also commented on the meaning of her name and said it was something cheesy like “the first tune/sound of the future”, moving on to the examples of musics arranged with Vocaloid. And that was it.”
