Anime stuff
An anime version of the slice of life manga Hyakko was announced at the Tokyo International Anime Fair held today. Hyakko currently runs on the web magazine FlexComix Blood and is available for free reading on their site.
I liked the manga but I never expected Hyakko to get animated since it was such a… minor manga.
On the other hand the Yozakura Quartet anime was announced some days ago too but that wasn’t much of a surprise.

STuff likes this gets away with it while aBe doesn’t get animated, D.O.’s Crescendo and Kazoku Keikaku don’t get animated, Private Nurse doesn’t get animatred (etc. etc.)
Oh well. I just hope they consider Kaicho wa Maid-sama someday…

“Hyakko” is relatively new (just 02 vols. so far) and still had gained enough acceptance in Japan, worthy enough to have an anime version: “minor manga” and “stuff likes this”… REALLY, absolutely without foundation.
PS: Kazoku Keikaku… damn, it’s so cliché.

Why do you say “minor manga” is absolutely without foundation? Do you know something about it that shows it’s actually a major manga?
I mean, I love the manga and own it, but no matter how you look at its distribution level in Japan it’s at best at the level of Sirius comics, if not lower.

As a general rule, when we talk about a fairly new manga is unusual to receive much attention, and with only two volumes Hyakko is certainly popular. I never said that “Hyakko” was a “major manga”.
PS: Pardon my english.
