looks like there is a time frame of Oct. being set for this series. No word on the length yet though.

Considering the nature of the title, I would have guessed someone with more experience like Itaru would have taken the lead.

Or perhaps it’s just me preferring a new Itaru design as well.

CLANNAD is a complete game, it’s finished. Like how in AIR you have to play through the girls scenarios properly to unlock the “Summer” chapter etc. or how in Little Busters! you unlock the “Refrain” ending. The “After Story” for the CLANNAD game is the same way. Before you can unlock it, you have to first go through all the other arcs, etc. and once you’ve done so it will open it up as an option on the title screen.

Zepy is just trying to clear up the discrepancy between Tomoyo After being a completely different game and -After Story- being something you unlock from CLANNAD itself.

I guess with Rin being so center to the story and Kud seeming like the fan favorite, having NaGa in charge of the new character is why this doesn’t surprise me. (though honestly I’d ~prefer~ a new Itaru design myself…)

I hold the opinion that I LOST MONEY being an anime “fan.” I’d gotten disgusted when the “free Free FREE” otaku-tachi had inadvertantly turned potentially good titles into garbage.

Plus the money they get from the US is anywhere between 22-66% of total sales. So I was expecting something back; something beyond the kiddified “Transformers Animated,” another Batman series, and whatever garbage they wanted to throw at us.

I’m currently enjoying “Black Cat” because there are no wusses herein. I’m currently enjoying Megafuku (Mamoru-kun Megame Shukufuku) because there’s a sense of restraint, and it was created before the “free Free FREE” calamity. If only Mr. Despair wasn’t so suicidal and the show’s creator wasn’t so “self-defeatable,” then I’d enjoy that show more.

GLAD I HAVENT GOTTEN AROUND TO PLAY CLANNAD YET, AND MANAGED TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THE STORY OR CHARACTERS
FROM READING THESE POSTS IT SEEMS AS IF THE ORIGINAL GAME ISNT COMPLETE?
I WAS WAITING FOR IT TO COME OUT ON 360, BUT I DONT WANT SOME INCOMPLETE SHIT THAT I WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THEM TO COME OUT WITH ON 360 (3 YEARS PROLLY)
SURE, I COULD GET A PS2 OR PC BUT ID RATHER NOT.

It sounds like you’re thinking of the side story game Tomoyo After and not Clannad After which was the conclusion chapter in the Clannad game.

Many fans hold the opinion that Clannad was only a prologue and the real story only starts in Clannad After, which is why fans weren’t happy that the anime wasn’t going to do the After part. (Especially after the references to the After part that they’ve thrown in the opening and throughout the anime)
