The next Key title?
Key artist Hinoue Itaru has revealed in her mixi blog that the next game from Key will be called Rewrite and will feature scenario writers Tanaka Romeo (Cross Channel), Ryuukishi07 (Higurashi) and Tonogawa Yuuto (Komari and Kurugaya).
The Key website has now been updated with the official page for Rewrite while I was writing this. It doesn’t seem like a fake… but the scenario writing team is… incredible.
The 07th Expansion website has also updated with a picture of Misuzu and a link to Key.

I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time that I am surprised by a real April 1st announcement…
But that sounds too good to be true, but also not so far fetched….

If anybody remembers, Key announced the Clannad movie during 2006 April Fools too, and they were completely serious about it. They’ve never actually had any April Fools jokes after all these years.

The art of making a good april fools joke it to make it so believeable that people aren’t sure what the truth is anymore.
Of course, having Mr 07th Expansion on the writing team would help soften the blow of Maeda deciding not to write anymore.
