Windmill releases eroge engine for public use

kangaeruna.jpgEroge brand Windmill has released their custom ADV engine called CatSystem2 to the public. The CatSystem2 engine is free for personal use or for making doujin games, but they have not yet decided if it will be free for commercial use.

CatSystem2 is the same engine that Windmill uses to make their games so it should be useful for people looking for another alternative free ADV game engine.

Looks like a new alternative for eroge-making enthusiasts has turned up ! We have Ren’py and nScripter, and now, CatSystem2.

Now, all we have to do is wait for one brave soul to use this engine to make an English doujin eroge…

It’s an engine just like the others I mentioned. Apparently, it’s used for Tsukihime.

  9. Moogy Says:

kirikiri is used by f/sn and f/ha, not tsukihime

  10. Hinano Says:

    Has anyone tried this yet?
I’m in the process of making a VN but I was gonna use Ren’Py..but if the Japanese one is more user friendly for programming noobs maybe I’ll give it a shot.

  11. Barachem Says:

I tried it and i just don’t know how to work it because my japanese is poor.
Furthermore, it seems to have not unpacked some files due to the japanese language.
    Aw shucks.
