Code Geass R2 ep 5 trailer leak
I wanted to write about this a few days ago, but apparently the 30 second trailer was actually accessed by editing the url for the trailer on the official website, so it wasn’t much news considering how common it is to access the next episode’s trailer by editing the url in anime sites.
I realised ITmedia covered the “leak” anyway, so I thought I should write something about it.

That’s weird. ITmedia says that NEC itself lists the leak as happening on Wednesday (sorry, not Thursday).

The article actually says that NEC Biglobe saw it on blogs on the 23rd, and not that it was the date that the leak actually happened. The first I saw it was when it was posted on 2ch at night on the 22nd.

I don’t think “incompetence” should be a word to use here.
I’d say, more percisely, “being a (collective) fat jerk who can’t accept the fact that the same old tricks don’t work anymore.”
“Oh look! We leaked something!” Down the road; these guys are going to do something that will really grab our attention, pull the wool over the eyes of the curious, and then “bait and switch.”
That’s all they’re able to do. They have nothing worth crowing about.
