“He is my master” manga authors divorce

thinkofthechildren.jpgThe authors for the manga of He is my master was always done by a husband and wife team, where the husband Mattsu does the roughs and the story, and the wife Tsubaki Asu does the art. Mattsu has revealed on 2ch that they officially divorced and Tsubaki Asu is no longer willing to draw the manga.

He is my master has already been on hiatus for a while, and with this announcement it means that the manga is now basically cancelled. Though Mattsu isn’t giving up yet and is considering looking for a new artist. He’s actually hoping that Ishikei (NSFW kinda) will be willing to draw for him.

Also, Mattsu has been posting on 2ch for many years with his unique trip, so there isn’t much doubt about the reliability of this.

I skimmed though one of those “He Is My Master” graphic novels the other day: The scene that stuck out was where Yoshitaka (a douchebag) gets his rear handed to him 1000 times over while “This Is A Gag Manga” had been written in bold letters.

I’d say: Light the match, throw it into this person’s ego, and let that crap burn.

  2. BlackAdder Says:

    But…. but…. it was a gag manga !

And I’d bet 5 Blackadder british comedy pennies that this whole thing is a dumb sarcastic joke about divorce.

(or maybe it’s real. Who knows ?)

HOLY SHIT, ISHIKEI REPLACING THAT DUMB BITCH WOULD BE FUCKING AWESOME. MY DICK WOULD ATTAIN NEW LEVELS OF HARDNESS THAT I NEVER REALIZED WERE POSSIBLE.

    @NOYFB
That is the most profound comment I have ever read.

  5. Holiday Says:

It’ll be interesting to see Ishikei draw the manga, but the stuff he draws is usually in full colour if I’m not wrong? Wonder how his stuff looks like in b&w manga form…

Also, has Ishikei has done any mainstream stuff before?

  6. Zepy Says:

He has done b&w manga I think, but they were mainly CG made to b&w instead of manga as far as I knew, I’m not much of a fan of his stuff. Don’t think he has ever done normal mainstream stuff though.

AND I THINK IT IS THE MOST PROFOUND LITERATURE I HAVE EVER WROTE.

    >Donโ€™t think he has ever done normal mainstream stuff though.
    HE IS NOW

  8. Deranged Says:

It would be weird to see the art change especially if it is Ishikei considering he has made doujins on the series already. Quite a shame about the married manga-ka pair. I liked their work.

  9. ่–่€… Says:

Ouh. What timing to have that divorce. Yikes.

I take it that the art change shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

  10. serogane Says:

If Ishikei took over the art I might actually have to read this series again (Gave up after ch 10 or so).

  11. Simon Jones Says:

…so this manga may continue by the hands of an artist who has previously made ero doujinshi of said manga?

    WHOA.

  12. champbaka Says:

Freaking shame on the relationship of those two. I deeply respect Mattsu for not abandoning “He is my Master”, but I can’t really say the same thing for Tsubaki Asu. I love her art style and I understand that her personal life is important, but I really think she could at least continue working with Mattsu on “He is my Master”. Seems a little awkward that Ishikei might continue the manga with the H doujin version around the net. If not by looking at the type of content Ishikei draws his art style is awesome and I’ll definitely buy any mainstream stuff done by him. Is there any news on the divorced couple’s spin off manga “Maid no Nerae” and if Mattsu will continue it?

  13. HIMMFan Says:

That is a shame. Should’ve seen this coming however with today’s divorce rate and such… Well now that Ishikei is aboard, I wonder what the manga will look like. How much will it deviate from the original art style. Hopefully, it will retain as much from the original art style… I still can’t believe Ishikei will be working on the series. I’ve seen his HIMM doujins and all I can say is ‘Holy smokes’!
@ NOYFB’s comment: LOL! :D That cheered me up after reading this. Thanks!
