Wasn't there some big problem with an influx of seriously annoying newfags at the most recent Reitaisai? I'd hate for my fandoms to get flooded by idiots who pretend to be cool fans but don't know shit.

I really want to see the evolution of Touhou doujin groups. I am pretty sure the IOSYS flashes and Niconico Douga contributed a lot to the current popularity of the series, but Touhou was popular even before that.
So I really want to know when Touhou started to be noticed by other doujin groups.

Splitting up for the walls and shutters or for stuff that you already want is pretty much standard practice for comiket, but if you're trying to fish for stuff from the islands it's pretty impossible because most of the time you don't know what they're coming out with or if they're any good so you have to go through them yourself.

"Given that Comiket is held for only 6 hours, it means that you’d have to go at a rate of 4.6 circles per minute if you wanted to go through every one of these circles."

While not all circles will be selling swag worth buying, it still behooves you to utilize multiple people in hitting up everything. My friends and I all pretty much like the same stuff, so we'll all be in one hall. Then, we divide the hall up between us, and use a master list of circles we want stuff from. The only real issue is the perimeter, since the lines are so long you really have to get in there early before they sell out. IE Touhou
