An official statement has been released on the TBS anime festa official site that the Tonari no 801-chan anime has been cancelled for undisclosed reasons. They could have just switched production studios if it was a problem on Kyoani’s end, I guess it’s a problem on TBS’s side…?

The Misonobashi 801 Shopping Center’s official blog had written that they had been informed that the 801-chan anime which was supposed to be animated by Kyoto Animation had been cancelled. The blog post about this has since then been deleted from the site.

The official site for the 801-chan anime which was put up a little more than a week ago has now been deleted from the TBS website, and the announcement about the anime has also been deleted from the manga’s official site.

It has only been less than 2 weeks since they announced at the TBS anime festa that Kyoto Animation was working on the anime, I can’t imagine what could have happened in that short period of time. The strap on the 3rd vol of the manga that was released last month still has the announcement that an anime is in progress too…

MATSUDA98 reports on his blog that the latest issue of Dengeki Daioh has announced that Tetsudou Musume, the series of figures made based on girls working in train companies, will be made into a TV drama. MATSUDA98 is the author of the official Tetsudou Musume manga that’s running in Daioh.

Whoever thought of trying to make this into a TV drama is crazy!

Sega is making Hatsune Miku -Project Diva- for the PSP, scheduled for release in 2009. The main game has a story mode and will play as a rhythm game. You can win stuff in rhythm mode to decorate her room and then watch her walk around and do random stuff.
