Bag checks to be implemented at Comiket

jigoku.jpgThe Comic Market preparations committee has announced that they’ll be conducting bag checks at the coming summer Comic Market which will be held on the 15th of August. People caught with items that are in breach of regulations will have the items confiscated and the items will not be returned.

The reason for this is that they’ve received several threats since July (which is normal at Comiket), and in light of recent events, they were instructed to conduct checks and had no choice but to do so.

Sounds like this Comiket might be hell if they can’t execute it smoothly. I can’t even imagine how they can check the bags with over 150,000 people per day.

Well I would assume it wouldn’t be any different than a major airport. Depends on how well they keep a single file line.

…which means that half of them won’t get in.

That line is going to move like a snail.

Snails…. That conjures up a certain chapter from a Junji Itoh manga…

Remember what I said about police and security companies hiring all of those jobless Japanese people? Ya Di’n't? Then I’ll tell you again:

We here at N0L Security, started by Carlsbad Reynolds, are always in need of hardworking people who are dillegent in the security profession. We require everyone to throw away their normal lives and strengthen the #### up in order to handle the 24/7 duties of a security officer.

Be sure to get your applications filled in person at [CENSORED]. AND. We will be sure to start on your training for your guard card and license.

See no one bothers to go for those jobs where you can crack some heads and get away with it.

Unfortunately people would rather be in an office somewhere whiling away the hours which they get paid for anyway and end up doing nothing.
