Haruhi-chan and Churuya-san anime announced
Announced in Shounen Ace, they’re going to animate the 4 koma manga Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuutsu, and also the all famous Churuya-san at the same time. It looks like they’ll both be aired via Youtube.
Edit: Just for those who might not know what Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuutsu is, this is what the comic looks like.

My reaction to this is mixed.
Cons: This is not Season 2.
Pros: Oh come on man, it’s Haruhi ! Sure, it’s not Season 2, but it’d be fun to watch !!
Further, greater cons: WHAT THE FLYING F*** IS THIS ?!! NO SERIOUSLY
Haruhi is NOT supposed to be chibi ! Or rely on exaggerations !!
This is going to be another reiteration of a long line of stale animation that we could do without. Yes, I found Haruhi season 1 to be groundbreaking. But this isn’t groundbreaking. This is as bad as Lucky Star milking the Haruhi franchise, only worse.
I bet my bottom dollar that this anime will feature sweatdrops, big mouths with teeth, all those cartoony expressions that save on animation work.
Screw this. Season 2 had better not make any cutbacks on the animation or introduce things like large sweatdrops.

As a registered “KyotoAnimu hater,” I’m beginning to wonder as well.
Usually the Japanese animu industry wouldn’t hesitate to spew their garbage. And I’m also wondering why Haruhi Season 2 is being stalled.
I’d love to say that, “These guys had found out that the Haruhi series is the most overrated and highly animated FAIL they’ve ever created; like the US’s 300 ‘Spartans’ movie.”
I’d love to say that the freaks and genetic hybrids who are their fans had scared them too much to finish another season of Haruhi 2.
Or maybe reality had gotten to them and whatever GONZO does is WAY BETTER THAN any highly-animated animu KyotoAnimu can pull from out of everybody’s rear end.
I mean… A well-planned show about panty-showing airplane girls. How CAN you compete with that? ($unrise couldn’t; so they tried viral marketing and brainwashing with their current show. It doesn’t work.)

I mean, it’s already two years old, and nothing ‘really’ new has turned up, aside from the novels themselves.
