Clannad DLC on the 360

takaiThe DLC for the 360 version of Clannad has been released and it apparently costs 300 MS points per chapter, with a total of 16 chapters available. That means that in order to get all 16 chapters, it costs 4800 MS points or 7200 yen (US$60 in the US), which costs more than the actual game itself.

The extra chapters in the DLC are spin off short stories that were released by Key between 2004 and 2005 (compiled and released in a book in 2005). The contents of the main game are the same as in the PC version, aside from being high res.

    No thanks.

  2. Moogy Says:

Hmm. Spending more than the cost of the game on previously released material. Hmm.

  3. cube Says:

    Worst abuse of DLC ever.

  4. Zeroblade Says:

On the other hand, it’s hi-res. But uh, no thanks anyway - I don’t even have a 360.

  5. omo Says:

    good idea

  6. Shin Says:

I’d pay that much if there were H scenes. Then again, I’d just download the CG set.

  7. Narumi Says:

    >Moogy

It’s not exactly the same though, since the DLC is digital and uses the game assets + original artwork to present it in the same format as the main game.

  8. Tyrenol Says:

Hmmm… DLC, CLANNAD, and the 360. YouTube’s Chad Warden would be so proud. That sounds like the best combination since Serpentor’s “I Command And You Obey Me.”

The burning of Key and KyotoAnimu to the ground, and the sequential barring of them perverting the animu fanbase with their hatemongering and propaganda, sounds like a good idea as well.

Feels like a Bandai-Namco DLC fest. These better have some decent Achievements, haha.

  10. sibladeko Says:

NOYFB roasting Tyrenol is just too damn amusing.

Also I expect said achievements for every Fuuko level up.

It would be even more amusing if what he said in CAPSLOCK was actually meaningful and coherent; not something you’d get from some Special Education class.

He’s right, though. I don’t play “visual novels.” I played games from the old systems when I was young (back in the 80’s); up into games like “King of Fighters” and “Street Fighters” in the late 90’s. But then I had to quit because everyone was going into 3D games and expensive systems (read: started to suck). M.U.G.E.N. had its moments; but then it sucked as well.

So what? I fight against “the SUCK.” Why should I like for the sake of those who enjoy “the SUCK?”

  12. Nobody Says:

Who the hell said you had to like anything for anyone else’s sake? NOYFB was just calling you out for not knowing what you were talking about. And seriously, hatemongering, propaganda? What the fuck are you talking about? I don’t care what you hate, just be less of an idiot about it. It’s just anime bullshit, why does it bother you so much?

  13. JockeII Says:

Lol looks like I have to recheck posts since I will miss these comments otherwise. <3

  14. Tyrenol Says:

    >THIS IS WHAT DRIVES YOUR FUCKING PATHETIC LIFE????????????? HAHAHAHA.

I’d say, “That laugh is MY line.” But I’m just too tired from another day of work.

    >READ THE FUCKING NAME.

So you’re basically “Anonymous?” 4chan’s this way. –>

  15. Zotmeister Says:

And no extra Achievements available for all that dough? Ripoff. - ZM

  16. Anonymous Says:

I’m going to dive in and be a jerk, but, no, he’s not “Anonymous”. I’m “Anonymous”. His name means as much as yours does. Just because you’ve chosen a more “name-like” pseudonym and used it on multiple venues (I assume, at least, I don’t feel like searching, but I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt) doesn’t make you special or anything, or lend you any particular extra credibility. He consistently labels himself and is as identifiable, in this context, as you are.

    So, yeah. Pot meet kettle?

  17. Tyrenol Says:

My apologies, “the you who uses the word ‘Anonymous.’” It’s just hard for me.

When you have somebody (like NOYFB) continuing to fling his e-penis around; it gets hard not to call that type of person for what he is. And it’s not like he cares anyway, right?

I’m not going to say that I’m the best there is, either. I’ll admit that.

But I guess I’m right after all; in saying that the anime fandom consists of sadistic voyeurs and losers who love to see achievers “brough down to their level.”

I’m pretty sure Clannad didn’t become popular with pretty girls alone. Or else the “Youhei Sunohara Wack-a-mole” mini-game wouldn’t be in there; since Key loves making characters to hate, blow off steam on, and love seeing beatened up.

I’d move on to better things… But there would be nobody to slow down the situation before they get worse.
