Nishimata Aoi rice bags
Eroge artist Nishimata Aoi has done an illustration for the packaging for JA-Ugo’s Akitakomachi rice packaging and she also created a mascot called “Ugono Ichigo-chan” for the strawberries that will be sold by the local Agricultural producers’ corporation.
The rice will go on sale starting on the 27th of September and the strawberries will go on sale in November.

Loli? Hardly. Nishimata has proven herself to be unable to draw anything other than her standard template girl with different hair. In this case, we get a silly hat.
Seriously, check our her Higurashi fanart or something. Rika is drawn to the same model as all of her other characters, and it just looks absurd.

I welcome all this moe-izing of the fictional game settings for real, financially strapped inaka. And Aoi Nishimata can keep on doing what ever she’s doing. It’s still working (for me).
At the same blog, there was some Stick Poster mail order with some famous eroge illustrators.

Also in this blog I learned that Pop-sensei designed a character for one of their maps. The illustrator also gave the mayor of Ugomachi (population: 18,000) a kenzen-kawaii POP WONDERLAND Alice figure. Pictures and it did happen. I guess Pop-sensei couldn’t give anything else “presentable”.
