Community revitalization with Comic Market

public executionComic Market is approaching its 35th year anniversary in 2010 and that means it’s time for Comiket Special 5! The theme this time is “community revitalization”, which basically means they’re looking for a town to host the event and the event will hopefully help to attract visitors into the host town.

They’re expecting the size of the event to have approximately 500~1000 circles and 3000~5000 visitors, but the size will be greatly affected by the distance between the town and the main city areas.

Comiket Special has become an event that gets held every 5 years as a special Comiket event, and special themes get picked each time. Such as “Resort Comiket” that was held in Okinawa in 2000 and “24 hour endurance Comiket” in 2005 which was a 24 hour long Comiket held in Ariake.

Take over San Francisco Comic-Con and turn it into Comiket or something, or Reitaisai, just to see the reaction of US companies.
