Manga: Miman renai

miman1

Miman renai is a manga by Takashima Hiromi running in Comic High! about a 29 year old guy who’s working as a programmer in a eroge company who falls in love with a real middle school girl.

miman2

29 year old eroge programmer Kurose Kazumi was known for having played a ton of galge when he was younger (like that other guy in Shounen Sunday), and he’s personally uninterested in young girls.

miman3

However while Kurose is having dinner in a family restaurant by himself, he gets approached by a middle school girl out of nowhere who suddenly apologizes saying that she is unable to date him.

miman4

She had apparently mistaken him for another guy who was being introduced to her by a friend a she was supposed to meet the guy for the first time in the family restaurant.

miman5

They clear up the misunderstanding, but Kurose soon finds himself thinking that the girl is really cute and tries his best to keep her there.

So yeah it’s a story about a weird relationship between a 29 year old eroge programmer and a 13 year old middle school girl.

Kinda related but not, God’s miso soup running in Shounen Sunday has been surviving well, getting to be placed first in the magazine + colour pages next week, I was worried about the author but he’s managed to pull it off this time I think.

does anything at all in High still stick to the “girly comics for guys and girls” line other than maybe Mousou Shoujo Otaku-kei or have they just given up on that one entirely?
