Okamadius

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

kimeeeOkamadius is a freeware game that’s a parody of Otomedius where it features a male character with the voices from Otomedius played in slow motion so it sounds like a male voice. Looks like the ideal game to play while waiting for Otomedius Gorgeous!

A video of the game can be watched here, and the game can be downloaded via rapidshare here.

The author is a foreigner who apparently never played Otomedius, but the game system’s fine, D-Burst works, and the shot angles on the options change. Also this is what the original character looks like.

Yoshinari festival

I realised there’s a new comment on the Haruhi season 2 post which was spreading crazy rumours, I don’t understand how far these rumours have gone, there must be a hundred different fake translations of the Newtype article or something to have created a monster rumour like that.

Gurren Lagann parallel works #8
Yoshinariiiiiii. The transformation scene by Imaishi was great. Somebody get the elder brother to do a short too.

Community revitalization with Comic Market

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

public executionComic Market is approaching its 35th year anniversary in 2010 and that means it’s time for Comiket Special 5! The theme this time is “community revitalization”, which basically means they’re looking for a town to host the event and the event will hopefully help to attract visitors into the host town.

They’re expecting the size of the event to have approximately 500~1000 circles and 3000~5000 visitors, but the size will be greatly affected by the distance between the town and the main city areas.

Comiket Special has become an event that gets held every 5 years as a special Comiket event, and special themes get picked each time. Such as “Resort Comiket” that was held in Okinawa in 2000 and “24 hour endurance Comiket” in 2005 which was a 24 hour long Comiket held in Ariake.

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

shimakoThe Marimite Autumn Lillian festival was held today and details on the 4th season has finally been released. The anime will start airing starting January 2009 and the anime will follow the original story, continuing from where the OVA series left off.

Additional cast:
Arima Nana – Nabatame Hitomi
Hosokawa Yuuko (Kanako’s mother) – Kawasumi Ayako
Kanako’s father – Koyama Rikiya
Naitou Shouko – Inoue Marina

Nabatame was originally already voicing Eriko too, so that’s two roles for her. She apparently got the role by going through the audition.

Kimi ga yobu, megiddo no oka de trailer

Friday, September 12th, 2008

honkiLeaf has released a trailer for their upcoming RPG eroge Kimi ga yobu, megiddo no oka de. I had zero expectations for the actual gaming portions but it looks pretty good from the trailer! The game is currently planned for release in November 2008, unless it gets delayed again.

The game is Leaf’s biggest project to date spending over 3 years in development and has the famous ex-Alicesoft artist Karen as the lead artist supported by Leaf’s 4 big artists.

They obviously spent most of their time on the character models because most of the backgrounds look pretty plain.

Sega’s Haruhi games named
Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokuretsu for DS and Heiretsu for the Wii

ddrOfficial site for Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou for the Wii has announced that the game will no longer be a dance game. Looks like it’ll just have a bunch of mini-games, along with a Nagato viewer where you can spy on Nagato all day.

Chunsoft x Type-moon = 428

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

sugeeeIt was made known a while ago that Chunsoft was making 428, a sequel to their legendary sound novel “machi”. The next issue of Famitsu has now revealed that Nasu Kinoko and Takeuchi Takashi from Type-moon will be involved in making a bonus scenario anime for the game.

I’d expect that their bonus scenario would be in a sound novel format but the article seems to be saying that it’s an anime. Not much info otherwise aside from the pictures.

Also I realised that the 3 consoles are now evenly split with Leaf on PS3, Key on 360, and Type-moon on the Wii.
