Dennou Figure ARis was released by Geisha Tokyo Entertainment on the 19th and it is an augmented reality figure which allows you to interact with a virtual figure by using a webcam. A video of the figure in action is available here (youtube)

Dengeki bunko’s crossover RPG for the DS, Dengeki gakuen RPG Cross of Venus, has been announced for a 26th February 2009 release date. The premium pack will come with some nendoroid figures and a novel with a bunch of stories by dengeki bunko writers will be included as a preorder bonus.

The line-up features Shakugan no Shana, Kino no tabi, Nogizaka Haruka no himitsu, Toradora!, Iriya no sora, UFO no natsu, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, To aru majutsu no index, and Asura Cryin’.

I’m surprised Spice and Wolf didn’t get in as a part of the main cast.

Watarase Film Commission has put up a notice on their site announcing that they are recruiting 70 extras for a Kaiji live action movie to appear in the restricted rock paper scissors game on the Espoir. The director for the movie is Gokusen director Satou Touya.

Fujiwara Tatsuya who starred as Light Yagami in the Death Note movie will be playing the role of Kaiji (what!?).
