The show was streamed to all regions outside Japan. These are DVD sales for Japan. The streaming and these numbers are from two totally opposite markets, so that comment doesn’t make any sense.

Side note to those numbers: Blu-ray sales are not currently shown in Oricon rankings at all, so the total disc sales for shows with BD versions–in this case, Macross F and Code Geass–may be significantly higher than shown. (We know for a fact the first volume of Macross F sold more BDs than DVDs.)

I hate the sexualization and lolification too, like the plague.
I hate seeing skin-clad women and girls walking around in anime.
The loli factor & the pantsu factor made me avoid Strike Witches.
Also other series are afflicted with the loli and ecchi plague, like Kanokon, Koihime Musou and Sekirei among others.

But there are more decent shows too, like Natsume Yuujincho, World Destruction, Macross Frontier, Telepathy Shoujo Ran and Mission E among others.

I reminded you of the reason why most anime are made, japanese children/tweens and/or japanese otaku.
