Kaiji live action movie in the works

zawa...Watarase Film Commission has put up a notice on their site announcing that they are recruiting 70 extras for a Kaiji live action movie to appear in the restricted rock paper scissors game on the Espoir. The director for the movie is Gokusen director Satou Touya.

Fujiwara Tatsuya who starred as Light Yagami in the Death Note movie will be playing the role of Kaiji (what!?).

The guy in the Akagi movie looks kind of like Kaiji, way more than Fujiwara does…

I think Tatsuya Fujiwara will do a good job, it pulls him out of his element of crazy rolls into soething sort of grounded…

But they’re are other actors that could have played the lead, Tatuysa isnt really tall enough…

Why not just make an anime film centred about Kaiji’s past?
