Nagano Nippo reports that there have been an increase in visitors due to the release of a certain shooter last year which had the characters Moriya Suwako, Yasaka Kanako, and Kochiya Sanae, who were created based on the legends in Suwa.

The Jinchokan Moriya Historical Museum reports that they’re having a similar number of visitors now as compared to 2007 when there was a popular TV drama that also had characters from the Suwa family.

Also, there is a real person called Moriya Sanae, who is the 78th shrine head and a descendant of the god Moriya. She was born in 1945, and she’s currently a teacher apparently.
