Canned Dogs

It’s no secret that quite a number of animators are at Comiket and this blog here made a small (and incomplete) list of them.

I thought it would be really easy to use his list and then add on the guys he missed + additional info and websites for each circle, but it was too much work to list everything and I died, mainly because lesser known guys took too much time to track down.

This isn’t anywhere close to being a comprehensive list of every animator at Comiket, go find the rest yourself!

Circle names are on the left and linked to their official site, and animator’s names are linked to youtube with their work whenever possible. The work listed is only a small portion of what they’ve done, because most of them have done too many to list.

I might try to update with more if I have time. Maybe.

ロロ小隊 - Sakou Yukie
Overall animation Director for Code Geass, among others

いおぎプロダクション - Nakamura Yutaka
Animation director for action scenes in the Cowboy Bebop movie, animated stuff in Cowboy Bebop TV, Escaflowne, Hagaren etc, now working on Soul Eater.

ぽむぽむプリン - Yoshida Tooru, Nakazawa Yuuichi
Both have worked on Code Geass and Gurren Lagann, and tons of other anime.

武蔵関ボンバーズ - Watabe Keisuke
Worked on animation in Gurren Lagann movie and Kara no kyoukai chapter 3, among others.

すたじお西海岸 - Katou Yasuhisa
Worked as animation director for Jyuubei-chan, Alien9, Black Lagoon

TEAM いもずか - Ishino Satoshi
Character designer and overall animation director for Nogizaka Haruka no himitsu

第四作画室 - Inoue Eisaku, Takeda Yoshihiro, and others
Inoue Eisaku was animation director for a few of the One Piece movies, Takeda has done key animation in the One Piece movies.

金山明博 - Kanayama Akihiro
Animation director for Ashita no Joe, and animation director for lots of old Sunrise robot anime.

インクボトル/弁慶堂 -
Imaishi Hiroyuki, Kubota Chikashi, Sadakata Kikuko, Sushio
Gainax animators. All worked on Gurren Lagann, Imaishi was the director for Gurren Lagann and the movie.

ちもうっけ - Ryo-timo
Overall animation director and character designer for Birdy DECODE, Key animator in Noein.

Vanishing Point - Takamura Kazuhiro
Gainax guy. Character designer and overall animation director for Mahoromatic, This ugly and beautiful world and He is my master. Also character designer for the Strike Witches anime.

フェアリング - Magana
Doesn’t seem to be using the same pen name for doing animation.

しし座流星軍 - Umetsu Yasuomi
Character designer for Kite and MEZZO.

ホルベイン - Yoshio
Key animation MacrossF ep 16, ToLoveru ep 10, Shugochara ep 47 etc

WE12 - Fukuda Tsuguru, Shinbo Takurou, and others
Fukuda did key animation for Gundam SEED, King Gainer, Keroro Gunso etc. Shinbo was animation director for the anime mentioned + more.

サトステ - Yamaguchi Satoshi, Amemiya Akira
Yamaguchi is ex-Gainax, worked on Gurren Lagann and Strike Witches. Amemiya is a Gainax animator and did a ton of scenes in Gurren.

ハルカカナタ - Staff from the Kyou no go no ni anime
They did Kyou no go no ni

SKマイナー - Sadako, Bobo Brazil
They’re animators for Shikabane Hime …i think.

さんふら - Yokota Shinichi, Ikawa Rena, Chiba Takahiro, and other Production I.G staff
Chiba Takahiro was character designer and animation director for Kamichu and R.O.D, the rest are… Production I.G staff.

羽合町 - Akai Toshifumi, Yamaguchi Satoshi
Akai is ex-Gainax now in A-1 pictures, worked on Gurren, Kannagi, Birdy DECODE. Yamaguchi is already mentioned above.

よりみち - Daisuke
Key animation in Gurren Lagann ep 3, Kamichu DVD ep 11, Noein 19

ドクーガ渋谷支部 - Saeki Shouji
Director, Storyboard, Enshutsu, Series composition, Script for Mahoromatic 2nd season and He is my master. Script, Storyboard, Enshutsu for Gurren Lagann and Strike Witches. Also does key animation for other anime.

楽描時間 - ???
Key animator in Shikabane Hime and Gurren Lagann.

ARTMAN & HA - Hamakawa Shuujirou
SoltyRei guy

おかゆ堂 - Oka Yuuichi
Character designer and animation director for ToLoveru. Character designer and overall animation director for Over Drive.

三毛猫亭 - Watanabe Keisuke
Key animation in Gurren Lagann.

手弁当 - SUEZEN
Key animation in Gurren Lagann

スタジオMAX - Uchida Yorihisa
Animation director for Full Metal Panic, Kanazuki no miko, Ring ni Kakero

I remembered I don’t like making lists like this because other guys might read it and buy up stuff that I wanted.
