Current story over the past 3 days or so:

Several TV stations such as Sun TV list Haruhi as a new TV show instead of a rerun

TVK lists Haruhi as a rerun

Yahoo lists Nishiya Futoshi as overall art director for tonight’s Haruhi
Ikeda Shouko was in charge for season 1

Asahina Mikuru no Bouken Episode00 is listed on yahoo as the first episode that will be aired

Moon Phase received reports that a phone call to Teletama revealed that Haruhi will run for 28 episodes, and phone calls to other TV stations have revealed that Haruhi is treated as a new tv show and is scheduled for more than 1 season

Haruhi is no longer listed as rerun on TVK’s website now

Hirano Aya’s 8th single Set me free! / Sing a Song which is set for release on the 22nd of April has been listed as related to Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu on chara-ani.

Result:

Episode 1 of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu season 1 aired. But it’s the chronological order episode 1 and not Asahina Mikuru no bouken.

Gigazine has confirmed with Teletama that it’s 28 episodes too, so I guess that confirms it, unless they’re going to rerun Haruhi two times
