Kannagi author Takenashi Eri is still alive
Takenashi Eri has updated her site, which has not been updated since October, with a note about her long hiatus on Kannagi since November last year when she was hospitalized. She says she has already been discharged and now recuperating at home.
She doesn’t want to say what she is exactly down with as people might get even more worried about her condition, but she says that it was a major illness that came as a result of her pushing herself too much.
She also thanks the fans who have been worried about her condition and sending her mail, including people who have sent flowers and even a string of a thousand paper cranes (used in praying for recovery from sickness).
She is still trying her best to get her stamina back before continuing Kannagi again, as manga is all about stamina and if she tries to do it without being fully healthy it’ll just cause more problems again if she fails.

Hey Kannagi, you really mean that?
The artist might have some responsibility for her creature , but not for the taste of the fans. If the fans would know better how nagi should be, they would be the ones making the manga.
If she wants to, she could make nagi a transsexual. its totally up to her.
The thought, that she might stop making this awesome manga in her style because some freaks didnt like nagi having an ex-lover is really ugly.
