Young GanGan has announced that Iwahara Yuuji will be starting a Darker than Black manga on their magazine starting from the next issue released 15th of May. Iwahara was also the artist that did the original designs for the characters in Darker than Black and the manga will have a completely original story.

For a while I was wondering if the DTB2 anime was already cancelled in the planning stages, maybe it’s still on the way afterall!

I’m glad Iwahara isn’t continuing to stay on Champion RED, his manga is always great but it sure doesn’t fit in with their recent direction at all! I think this might be his first serialization that isn’t monthly.
