Jesus + Buddha = Holy Men Sentai

saint sentai
Morning Two magazine has recently started an experiment where they would put up all the manga from their magazine online for free viewing on the same day that the magazine goes on sale, and this will continue for the next 12 months, unlike the last time when they had a 3 month run where they would put up the manga chapters for free viewing a month after the magazine has hit the stores.

But while they now allow everybody to read everything that’s in the magazine, they have also started putting special booklets with side-stories that come with the magazine. The first one is Saisei Sentai Holy Men where Jesus and Buddha are sentai fighting off the evil demon Mara who is demanding to be invited into Mixi.

Morning Two will continue to have side story booklets for other manga in the next two issues of the magazine. The next one being for Ono Natsume’s COPPERS and the one after will be for TAGRO’s Henzemi.

Suddenly I realised I have to buy Morning Two because there’s a chance that the side stories aren’t going to be in the tankoubon.

Hey, they actually read the New Testament: Jesus is wielding a sword!!

I thought it was a lance/spear… Wasn’t he stabbed by one and they use that in a lot of movies/games as a magic weapon?

Dude, between being stabbed by something and wielding it is a BIG difference. Jesus was stabbed by a lance, but he wielded a sword. As did all of his followers. Don’t you remember that episode when the Romans are trying to arrest Jesus and one of his disciples draws his sword and cuts off an ear of one of them? Guess where that sword came from. They all carried swords at all times. It was a requirement to join his gang. He said he would rather be followed by a naked man carrying a sword than by an unarmed person.

I couldn’t find all the passages to show you, but just look at things like Luke 22:36 or Mathew 10:34 or stuff.

    lol @ metaphors.

Anon: I don’t remember any episodes, I’m not too familiar with the bible lol. I just thought since Longinus(?) is often used as a “magic weapon” in a lot of media :)

Why is it that the only thing I can think of right now is South Park and the Super Best Friends?

    Luke 22:36

When I go to Canned Dogs to see two sides of an argument both citing the Bible, I know that the end is near.
